Bosch Induction Range Touch-Control Investigation

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating reports that certain Bosch induction ranges and cooktops may experience overly sensitive or intrusive touch-control behavior during ordinary cooking.

Some consumers have complained that Bosch touch controls may respond to incidental contact or behave unexpectedly when users interact with the cooktop.

These reports raise questions about whether certain control interfaces may be overly sensitive to normal contact, moisture, or other foreseeable conditions around a cooking surface.

Consumers Report:

  • touch controls responding to accidental contact;
  • controls activating or changing settings unexpectedly;
  • normal wiping or handling interfering with cooktop operation;
  • frustration with overly sensitive controls; and
  • difficulty maintaining intended settings during cooking.

Potential Claims May Include:

  • defective touch-control design;
  • breach of express or implied warranty;
  • failure to adequately disclose control-system limitations; and
  • unfair or deceptive trade practices.

Signs You May Be Affected:

  • You purchased a Bosch induction range or cooktop;
  • the controls frequently respond to incidental contact;
  • ordinary wiping or touching the surrounding surface changes settings;
  • the controls repeatedly interrupt normal cooking;
  • you contacted Bosch or a dealer because of the issue; or
  • you have videos, repair records, or communications documenting repeated control problems.

The currently available reports are not yet sufficient to establish that Bosch induction products suffer from a common classwide defect, and some complaints may reflect product-design preferences rather than a malfunction. This investigation is intended to determine whether a more consistent defect pattern exists among affected owners.
