Pergo WetProtect Flooring Investigation

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating whether Pergo WetProtect flooring products are failing prematurely despite being marketed as “lifetime waterproof” and capable of protecting against moisture intrusion.

What Consumers Report About the Products

Consumers report purchasing Pergo WetProtect flooring based on representations emphasizing:

  • “Lifetime waterproof” protection.
  • Protection extending from the surface to the subfloor.
  • Resistance to spills, moisture, and household water exposure.
  • Long-term durability in kitchens, bathrooms, and other moisture-prone environments.

Consumers report that, in reality:

  • Flooring buckles, swells, or delaminates after exposure to moisture.
  • Water allegedly penetrates seams or joints despite waterproof marketing.
  • Warranty claims are denied based on exclusions for “water damage.”
  • The flooring allegedly fails under ordinary residential conditions.

Consumers also report confusion regarding the scope and limitations of the waterproof warranty.

Why Consumers Should Be Concerned

Consumers may have paid premium prices for flooring marketed as waterproof that allegedly fails when exposed to ordinary household moisture. Potential concerns may include:

  • Misleading waterproof-performance representations
  • Warranty limitations inconsistent with advertising
  • Premature flooring deterioration and replacement costs
  • Economic harm from moisture-related property damage

Signs You May Be Affected

  • Your Pergo WetProtect flooring buckled, warped, or delaminated.
  • You experienced moisture intrusion despite “waterproof” marketing.
  • Your warranty claim was denied because of alleged water exposure.
  • You paid more because you believed the flooring offered superior waterproof protection.
