Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating Gibson guitars following reports that consumers may have been sold instruments labeled as “new” that contain poor fretwork, finish issues, and structural defects.

Reported Issues:

  • Cracks, gaps, blemishes, peeling paint, and other physical defects on “new” Gibson guitars
  • Receiving guitars with uneven or poorly leveled frets
  • Binding issues, such as cracks, chips, poor installation, separation, or lifting
  • Loose or improperly installed turners, knobs, or bridges

  • You purchased a “new” guitar that came with signs of usage or improper manufacturing

  • The strings produce a buzzing sound when played
  • The guitar’s knobs, switches, or bridges are loose or do not feel properly secured
