Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles for a defect with the rear coil springs.
In 2023, these vehicles were recalled to have their loose rear coil springs repaired. However, the problem has not been resolved. This issue most likely stemmed from an improper installation of the rear coil springs when the vehicle was built. As a result, there was risk they may detach while driving. Following this, reports subsist of rear coil spring detachments, even after the recall remedy.
Drivers have reported their rear coil spring falling off in various circumstances – some while driving at speed, some while executing a turn, some while parked, etc. This issue can create a hazard for the driver or for a driver behind them.
Have you experienced an issue with the rear coil spring in a Jeep Grand Cherokee? We want to hear from you.
