Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating reports that Walmart+ members were denied their 10¢-per-gallon fuel discount at Murphy USA and ExxonMobil stations due to recurring pump connection errors.

Customer Reports of Pump Errors

Since August 2024, Walmart+ members have posted viral complaints about discounts not applying. Even when the app confirmed eligibility, the pump displayed “connection error” messages, forcing drivers to pay full price.

At $98 per year, Walmart+ promises fuel savings on every gallon. If connection errors regularly prevent discounts, members may be paying for benefits they never receive—potentially a breach of consumer trust.
