ASKSTORM USB Charger Electric Shock Investigation

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is actively investigating consumer safety concerns tied to the recall of IKEA’s ASKSTORM USB Chargers, model ICPSW5-40-1 (Article 804.612.00). These chargers, sold between April 2020 and December 2023 for about $30, may present serious safety risks.

ASKSTORM Cable Fraying and Electrical Dangers

The recall stems from defective cable insulation. Repeated bending or wrapping can cause the cable to break or fray, exposing users to risks of burns and electric shock.

Consumers have reported damaged cables, though no severe injuries have been disclosed in recall notices.
