Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is involved in the Aspire Rural Health System Data Breach Investigation for a breach impacting 138,386 people and their personal information.
Recently, Aspire Rural Health System learned than an unauthorized party gained access to their internal network from on or about November 4, 2024 to on or about January 6, 2025. Upon detection of this activity, Aspire launched an investigation, which discovered that the files accessed and/or acquired by the third party may have contained personal, sensitive information. Aspire Rural Health System provided notice to affected individuals on August 20, 2025. The impacted data includes the following sensitive information:
- Names
- Dates of birth
- Social Security numbers
- Financial account numbers and routing numbers
- Personal health information
- Health insurance information
- Payment card information
- Driver’s license numbers
- Password and usernames
- Passport numbers
The Aspire Rural Health System Breach
Aspire Rural Health System recently provided notice of the data breach. All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous to affected victims. As is likely to be the case with the Aspire Rural Health System data breach, in previous cyberattacks, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, to unauthorized credit card applications, to medical services or government services ordered in their name, to their information being posted on the dark web, to a massive uptick in the number of spam text messages, calls and emails received.
