On December 30, 2024, Bay Cove Human Services, Inc. (“Bay Cove“) learned of unusual activity in its computer network. Bay Cove subsequently conducted an investigation, which uncovered a cybercriminal had accessed the personally identifiable information contained within certain systems on the above-referenced date. Although Bay Cove claims the exact nature of the compromised information stolen in the data breach is uncertain, it reports the sensitive data may include the following:
- full names
- Social Security numbers
- financial account information
- diagnosis or treatment information
- health information
- employment related information
- driver’s license numbers

Bay Cove recently provided notice of the data breach. All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous to affected victims.
