Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating Amazon’s practice of selling non-FDA approved peptides.

Amazon Peptide Investigation

According to the Associated Press, Amazon is one of many online retailers engaged in the practice of selling banned or illegal peptides, which many consumers across the country purchase after seeing promises of anti-aging, weight loss, workout recovery, and more.

However, these drugs have not had any safety or efficacy studies conducted — they have not been categorized or approved by the FDA, and many cannot legally be sold for human consumption. As a result, they are instead packaged as research chemicals, daily chemicals, and lab reagents and solvents. These can come in ingestible, injectable, powdered, and nasal spray forms.

Some of these peptides sold by Amazon include:

  • AOD 9604
  • BPC 157
  • MOTS-c
  • Ipamorelin
  • Tesamorelin
  • Sermorelin
  • TB 500
