Nikon Z8 Mount Failures Investigation

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating Nikon Z8 cameras experiencing strap-lug or lens-mount failures that can cause cameras and attached lenses to detach and fall.

Reported Issues

Consumers report strap eyelets breaking free and lens mounts separating from the camera body, resulting in expensive gear impacts. Nikon issued a limited advisory covering only certain serial blocks, leaving others unprotected.

Why Consumers Should Be Concerned

Unresolved structural failures raise concerns of product defect, unfair business practices, and implied-warranty breaches. Cameras falling from straps can pose physical injury risks as well as major equipment loss.
