Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is investigating QuickMed Diagnostics following reports that the company is billing clients for COVID-19 tests years after the services were originally provided.
What Happened?
In recent weeks, individuals have reported receiving unexpected bills from QuickMed Diagnostics for COVID-19 tests administered a substantial time ago, dating back two to three years. Many of these bills appear without prior communication or explanation.
Compounding the issue, some patients whose insurance companies issued reimbursement checks directly to them report that QuickMed never contacted them at the time those payments were made. Instead, patients are now being told with minimal detail that they owe the full outstanding amount, instead of resolving this issue between provider and insurer.
Additionally, several people have shared that QuickMed is sending messages threatening to send them to collections if payment is not made. These communications have caused significant confusion and concern, as in many instances, this should be handled through insurance.
Have you received billing like this?
If you have received billing from QuickMed Diagnostics that seems unusual, delayed, unexplained, or connected to the issues above, we want to hear from you.
