Reported Issues
Customers report aggressive upselling of “Pro Coverage” or similar plans with verbal assurances that accidental damage, cracks, or humidity damage are fully covered. Once claims are filed, however, many are denied, with consumers offered only a refund of premiums rather than repair or replacement.
Why Consumers Should Be Concerned
These service plans may be marketed in ways that misrepresent the scope of coverage, potentially violating the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act, state insurance laws, and deceptive-trade-practice statutes. Consumers may lose both the product’s value and the cost of the protection plan.
