Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is involved in the Fraser Child and Family Center data breach Investigation, for a data breach affecting 67,000 people and their personal information.
The Fraser Child and Family Center Data Breach
On or around June 2, 2024, the Fraser Child and Family Center (“Fraser”) discovered suspicious activity on its network. Fraser’s subsequent investigation uncovered that a hacker had accessed and copied files containing sensitive information of its patients between May 30, 2024 and June 2, 2024. According to Fraser, the compromised information impacted by the cyberattack includes full names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, addresses, and medical information. The Fraser data breach is significant and may result in serious harm to the affected individuals.
The Fraser Child and Family Center recently began informing individuals of these breaches through a mailed notice letter. All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous to affected victims. In previous data breaches, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, to unauthorized credit card applications, to medical services or government services ordered in their name, to their information being posted on the dark web, to a massive uptick in the number of spam text messages, calls and emails received.
