Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is involved in the MNGI Digestive Health (“MNGI”) data breach investigation, for a data breach affecting 765,937 individuals and their personal information.
MNGI discovered suspicious activity on its computer system and learned that on August 25, 2023, unauthorized parties gained access to its systems. Through its investigation, MNGI discovered that the data breach occurred on August 20, 2023. The compromised information possibly includes:
- names
- medical information
- health insurance information
- dates of birth
- patient account numbers
- financial account information
- driver’s license or state ID numbers
- passport numbers
- payment card information
- usernames and associated passwords
- taxpayer ID numbers
- biometric data
- Social Security numbers
As a result of the MNGI Data Breach, MNGI claims that it took until June 7, 2024 to discover that the above information had been compromised.
The MNGI Data Breach
MNGI recently began informing individuals of these breaches through a mailed notice letter. All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous to affected victims. In previous data breaches, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, to unauthorized credit card applications, to medical services or government services ordered in their name, to their information being posted on the dark web, to a massive uptick in the number of spam text messages, calls and emails received.
Have you received a data breach letter, email, or other notice from MNGI?
