Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is involved in the Designed Receivable Solutions, Inc. (“DRSI”) data breach investigation, for a data breach affecting 585,204 individuals and their personal information.
On January 22, 2024, DRSI noticed suspicious activity on its computer network. DRSI subsequently conducted an investigated, where it discovered that a hacker had gained access to patients’ data and files containing their personally identifiable information stored within the DRSI system. The compromised information includes full names, addresses, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers.
Designed Receivable Solutions, Inc. recently began informing individuals of these breaches through a mailed notice letter. All of the information stolen is likely valuable and dangerous to affected victims. In previous data breaches, victims of data theft have noticed identity theft attempts ranging from fraudulent charges on bank accounts or credit cards, to unauthorized credit card applications, to medical services or government services ordered in their name, to their information being posted on the dark web, to a massive uptick in the number of spam text messages, calls and emails received.
