Migliaccio & Rathod is investigating reports that the GE Ultrafast Combo 2-in-1’s lint trap is defective, leading to lint build-up on the condenser coils which will lead to long term issues with the machine.
Experts have reported that through their testing, they’ve discovered that even with cleaning of the lint filter after every load run through the machine, lint still accumulates on the interior at the condenser coils. They speculate that after just two hundred uses of the machine, the condenser coils of the heat pump could be functioning so inefficiently that the machine simply stops drying clothes, as well as a variety of other issues for the machine.
Consumers are already reporting that in under fifty uses, the lint buildup is significant and highly difficult to clean, especially without damaging the structure of the condenser coils.
