Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating Molekule for deceptive advertising claims. Molekule boasts that its air purifier, the Molekule Air, has the ability to, among other things, eliminate pollution, relieve allergy and asthma symptoms, and generally outperform competitors’ products. Dyson Ltd., one such competitor, challenged Molekule’s claims via the National Advertising Division (NAD), itself a program of the Better Business Bureau. NAD upheld each of Dyson’s 26 challenges, finding Molekule’s claims universally unsubstantiated. Similarly, Consumer Reports recommended customers pass on the product and Wirecutter called it “the worst air purifier [they’ve] ever tested.”
